The training on Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) introduced participants to the principles of GNSS positioning, including ionospheric and meteorological tomographic monitoring. Key concepts of GPS and regional GNSS networks were discussed, along with practical tools such as GPS-TEC processing software and initial sample data for hands-on practice. Additionally, planned installations of GPS-TEC stations in Pakistan were reviewed, with thorough discussions on potential ground station locations, encouraging participants to contribute their suggestions for optimal placements. This collaborative approach aims to enhance regional GNSS capabilities and support better monitoring of atmospheric conditions. Participants left the session with a deeper understanding of GNSS technology and its significance in various applications, fostering a network for future collaboration in GNSS initiatives.
