July 19, 2025 – The PCP Laboratory successfully delivered a comprehensive training program from July 15 to 18, 2025, focusing on magnetometer systems for visiting researchers Associate Professor Ali and Mr. Haseeb from Pakistan.
The structured training covered critical aspects of instrument handling, operation, and data management:
July 15:The session provided Associate Professor Ali and Mr. Haseeb with a thorough overview of the instrumentation, the connection framework, and the fundamental principles of the magnetic field testing methodology.

July 16: Participants engaged in practical exercises, practicing the connection procedures and operational steps for the magnetic field testing method. The PCP team also held detailed discussions with Associate Professor Ali and Mr. Haseeb regarding magnetometer data protocols. Collaboratively, they drafted the initial list of instruments required for deployment in Pakistan, clearly delineating items to be:
1. Supplied by the PCP Laboratory.
2. Procured locally within Pakistan.
July 17-18: Training shifted focus to data transmission. Associate Professor Ali and Mr. Haseeb reviewed the magnetometer data transmission protocol. The PCP Laboratory introduced and provided hands-on training for configuring the new YOUREN DTU (Data Transfer Unit), equipping the participants with the skills necessary for its effective implementation.
This intensive four-day program significantly enhanced Associate Professor Ali's and Mr. Haseeb's practical skills in magnetometer operation, data protocol understanding, and DTU configuration. The collaborative development of the instrument procurement plan marks a crucial step forward for the upcoming research activities in Pakistan. The PCP Laboratory remains committed to supporting its international partners through technical knowledge exchange and capacity building.
